First Regulated Bitcoin Savings Account

LedgerX, a federally regulated institutional trading platform, is now offering Bitcoin Saving Account.

These saving accounts will have holding periods of three, six or twelve months and the company estimates around 16% of annual returns.

Interest earned in these accounts will be paid in US dollars.

Earnings are on top of the possible earnings when the value of bitcoin increases while held in the savings account.

This is seen as an additional way of earning on Bitcoin investment or as a way to mitigate loss when bitcoin loses price value.

This new service will help in diversifying cryptocurrency investments opportunities by moving beyond buy and hold strategies or futures contract.

Amazon To Release Platform To Simplify Enterprise Blockchain Deployment

Amazon Web Services has revealed that they are partnering with ConsenSys, an Etereum development Studio, to release Kaleido-a blochain business cloud that enable enterprise organizations to simplify the creation, deployment and operation of private Blockchain network.

It was announced in the Consensus 2018 Conference in New York.

It is the first Software-as-a-Service that delivered via AWS that will feature popular Ethereum packages Geth and Quorum.

The Kaleido solution will enable enterprise organization to create permissioned Blockchain networks which can ba “anchored” to the public Ethereum blokchain in order to leverage its after-the-fact collision resistance and deliver superior “proof of settlement finality.”

Kaleido Fouonder Steve Cerveny believes that the convergence of public blockchain and private blockchains is the next natural evolution of Blockchain.

Bitcoin Price Decline Coincides With Bing Crypto Ad Ban

There seem to have been negative effect of the decision of the second largest search engine, Bing, to crypto Ad Ban.

It joins other dotcom giants that have banned cryptocurrency related ads by July 2018.

Bitcoin price has lost its $9000 support on May 11 and continued to fall and approaching $800 level. During press time it has lost almost 3% of its value in the last 24 hours.

However, despite recent fall bitcoin has seen over 3% gains over the last 30 days according to Cointelegrap Price Index.

Ethereum on the other hand has lost 2.31% in the last 24 hours, dipping below $700 price.

Total market capitalization on cryptocurrencies has lost around $100 billion in the last 10 days.

Co-Founder of Twitter Wants To Help Bitcoin To Become A Gloal Means Of Payment

The CEO of payments company Square and Co-founder of Twitter Jack Dorsey said in Consensus 2018 that he wants to help bitcoin to become a global payment choice.

He said that the internet will have its own native currency but unsure if it will be bitcoin but he hopes that it will be be.

He has said in the past that we might see a digital currency that would become the globally accepted single currency within a couple of years.

His company, Square, began supporting cryptocurrencies back in November last year via its mobile app called Square Cash which has bitcoin and selling options.

He has also committed personal funds to lightning labs as the team continues to develop on Lightning Network one of Bitcoin Scaling poroposal.
