CME Group Plans to Launch Bitcoin Futures Before The Year Ends

The world's largest derivaties exchange, CME Group has recently announced its plan to launch Bitcoin Futures within the 4th quarter of this year.

The Bitcoin futures will be cash-settled in reference to the CME CF Bitcoin Reference Rate or Price Index which was launched last year.

If granted by the regulators, the exchange will be the second one to be regulated by the U.S. government to offer Bitcoin derivatives to institutional traders.

Following the CME's announcement, Bitcoin's price surge to $6,400, a new all-time high.


A University In Vietnam Is Planning To Accept Bitcoin Tuition Fees

Despite Central Bank ban in the country, FPT, a private university in Vietnam plans to accept tuition fees in Bitcoin.

FPT has campuses in three major cities of Vietnam Ho Chi Minh, Da Nang anf Hanoi.

The University will soon accept Bitcoin as tuition fees from foreign students and they believe that foreign students can besiege strict cryptocurrency controls in their respective countries.

The University is also looking to study cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin to be included in their curriculum, particularly in banking, finance and sbusiness management.

They see this move to bolster the number of foreign students in the university.
