Coinbase Extends Business To Institutional Investors With Their Custodial Storage Service

Coinbase has recently announced their newly created service called Coinbase Custody.

The service targets institutional investors such as hedge funds who are still hesitant to invest in the cryptocurrency markets due to factors such as asset security and regulatory compliance.

Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong said that the new service will launch in 2018 and $10 billion is the expected
capital that is currently waiting ob the sidelines.

The Coinbase Custody platform will support a wide tangw of cryptocurrencies including BTC, LTC, ETH and ERC20 tokens.

The platform will be designed with features that will give peace of mind to investors that their funds are secure which includes the ability to have multiple signers, withdrawal limits, audit trails, optional insurance and a dedicated account representative which can be reached via phone call.


Two Japanese Cryptocurrency Companies Expanded Business To South Korea

Two Japanese companies Remixpoint Inc. and Metaps Inc. have recently expanded business to South Korea.

Remixpoint which owns the Japanese bitcoin exchange, Bitpoint and has recently launched a crypto exchange in South Korea called Bitpoint Korea.

The company partnered with Sys & Tech, a Korean company which develops a Forex margin automated system.

Bitpoint Korea will offer services such as an exchange (which currently supports BTC, BCH and ETH), money transmission services and spot transaction services.

While Metaps, a monetization platform app that uses A.I. and big data to maximize app revenue and optimize campaign performance, has subsidiary in Korea called Metapsplus Inc.

The subsidiary has launched a token sale last month to develop and operate Coinroom, a cryptocurrency exchange, which raised nearly 1.1 billion yen.

Coinroom currently lists BTC, ETH, ETC, BCH and its own token Pluscoin (PLC).
