Visa Pilots Blockchain Business-To-Business Payments Service

Credit card giant Visa has recently rolled out the first phase of its its blockchain-powered business-to-business payments service called B2B Connect.

The platform is intended to ease cross-border payments by handling direct payments between institutions, eliminating the middleman.

There are already a number of banks working with Visa on the project which includes Union Bank (Philippines), Shinhan Bank (South Korea), United Overseas Bank (Singapore) and Commerce Bank (U.S.).

These banks are currently testing the technology and the platform is set to launch in the market in the middle of 2018.
