🗞 Blockchain Capital Leads $12.75 Mln Funding Round for US-Based Securities Tokens Startup
An American securities tokens startup has closed a Series A funding round led by Blockchain Capital that raised $12.75 million, according to press release exclusively shared with Cointelegraph Nov. 26.
Securitize, a technology platform that enables the issuances of digital securities — or security tokens — of any asset, has closed the strategic funding round ahead of the company’s plans to launch a Digital Security Offering (DSO) in 2019.
The round also included participation from Coinbase Ventures, Global Brain, NXTP, OK Blockchain Capital, and Xpring at Ripple.
🗞 Hash Wars: Battle Comes to an End as BSV Plans to Add Replay Protection
It’s been less than two weeks since the Bitcoin Cash (BCH) hard fork and blockchain split that occurred on Nov. 15. Since then there’s been a lot of discussion concerning the hash war, with BSV and BCH miners acquiring blocks, gathering hashrate and accumulating proof of work. Now after 11 days, blockchain company Coingeek has announced that the BSV developers will apply replay protection to the BSV chain, essentially bringing the hash war to an end.
🗞 600k Bitcoin Miners Shut Down in Last 2 Weeks, F2Pool Founder Estimates
Between 600,000 and 800,000 bitcoin miners have shut down since mid-November amid declines in price and hashrate across the network, according to the third-largest mining pool.
In an interview with CoinDesk, Mao Shixing, founder of F2pool, said his firm’s estimate takes into account the total network hashrate drop and the average hash power of older mining machines that are having a hard time generating profits.
According to data from blockchain.info, the bitcoin network’s entire hashrate, which captures the aggregated computing power on the world’s first blockchain, has dropped from around 47 million tera hashes per second (TH/s) on Nov. 10 to 41 million on Nov. 24 – an almost 13 percent decline.
🗞 Ripple Is Making It Easier for Customers to Integrate XRP. So Far, They Aren’t
Ripple is rolling out a new version of its most popular product, xCurrent.
Positioned as a rival to SWIFT – the 45-year-old messaging network at the center of the global payments infrastructure – version 4.0 of xCurrent is being more closely integrated with Ripple’s other major offering, xRapid.
xRapid uses the cryptocurrency XRP to provide what the company calls “on-demand liquidity” in cross-border transactions: the ability to use XRP as a bridge currency in the middle of a cross-border payment corridor, which Ripple says eliminates payment processors’ need to pre-fund bank accounts in destination countries.
🗞 Novogratz: ‘It Sucks to Build a Business in a Bear Market’
Mike Novogratz, the chief executive officer of Galaxy Investment Partners, recently discussed the challenges of building a cryptocurrency investment firm in the 2018 bear market. But the former Goldman Sachs partner predicts that institutional demand for cryptocurrencies will drive the start of a new bull trend in 2019.
Novogratz: 'It Sucks to Build a Business in a Bear Market'Novogratz claims to be unperturbed by the poor performance of cryptocurrencies in 2018. He expects the crypto markets to turn bullish again in 2019, with demand to be driven by financial institutions. He believes they are now moving from investing in cryptocurrency funds to seeking direct exposure to cryptocurrencies. “You’ll see that flip next year,” he said. “That’s when prices start moving again.”

STEEM Trading Update by my friend @cryptopassion
Here is the chart of yesterday :
Here is the current chart :
The STEEM is having a little bounce in progress like the BTC but yeah we can see clearly that the STEEM is losing more than the BTC when it is dropping and is doing smaller UP when the BTC is increasing. It is really not a good period for altcoins... Anyway, we are on a big resistance line on the BTC, so please check the master before trading the STEEM.
