πŸ—ž A 7-Year Legal Fight Led This Dev to Build Unstoppable Ethereum Storage

"If you build it strong enough, the law will follow."

That's how Daniel Nagy, the leading developer behind Swarm – ethereum's decentralized storage-layer – described his "takeaway lesson" after a seven-year legal battle over the hosting a file-sharing node.

A precursor to peer-to-peer file sharing service, Bittorrent, Nagy was running a DC node, a technology that is now "perfectly and completely obsolete," according to the developer.

πŸ—ž Private Blockchains Could Be Compatible with EU Privacy Rules, Research Shows

Private blockchains, such as interbanking platforms set to share information on customers, could be compatible with new E.U. privacy rules, according to research published Nov. 6. The study was conducted by Queen Mary University of London and the University of Cambridge, U.K.

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) act, a recent legislation that regulates the storage of personal data for all individuals within the European Union, came into effect this May. According to the law, all data controllers have to respect citizens’ rights in terms of keeping and transferring their private information. In case a data controller fails to do so, the potential fines are set as €20 million (about $22 million) or four percent of global turnover/revenues, whichever is higher.

πŸ—ž Regulations Roundup: CFTC to Embrace DLT, SIM Swapping Task Force

In recent regulatory news, the chairman of the United States Commodity Futures Trading Commission has predicted that distributed ledger technology will soon be adopted by the CFTC to monitor the financial markets, and a supervisor of the REACT Task Force has emphasized the priority placed on policing SIM swapping in Northern California. In addition, Germany’s financial watchdog has ordered a cessation of UK-based Finatex’s unauthorized cross-border proprietary trading via its Crypto-Capitals trading platform.

πŸ—ž Iran Completes Development of Rial-Supported National Cryptocurrency

Iran has finalized the development of its national cryptocurrency, which is backed by the local fiat unit, the rial. Once the Central Bank of Iran (CBI) approves its use, the yet-to-be-named digital currency will then be issued to banking institutions for testing in payments, internal and interbank settlements according to local media reports.

πŸ—ž Pondering The Mainstream Appeal Of Blockchain-Based Games

Nearly everyone in the cryptospace has mentioned the term "mainstream adoption" at some point, especially regarding video games. Plenty of blockchain-based games exist and are in development, but what would push this nascent form of gaming into the mainstream?

Scalability comes to mind as an obvious answer – it wouldn't be possible to have a large, mainstream audience if the underlying infrastructure couldn't accommodate more players in the first place. Plus, improvements in rendering speeds and transaction times would help to create the fast-paced gaming environments players are accustomed to.

I was warning you yesterday about the pull back in formation and this has been confirmed today as we had an acceleration on the drop due to it and as predicted yesterday. The next important resistance line is around 0.69-0.70$. Let's hope we won't drop more deeper than this level. Bad news for that Steemfest but it is the life of every projects...
