– If they are available for the type of brakes that you are using, buy brake pads with radiator fins (the picture shows Shimano pads), they will reduce the danger of overheating your brake pads if it's warm where you are. While I’m at it, buy metal brake pads instead of resin, they will last a lot longer, especially when it’s wet!

– After filling your tubeless tires with sealant, pump the tire really hard and keep it spinning to make sure the sealant will be evenly distributed; give your tire a few spins over the next few hours or so. Lower the pressure again before you go riding.

– To prevent cold toes, and for you have nothing else at hand, you can cut a small sandwich bag in half and put the bottom part over your socks before you put on your shoes, just to avoid the worst of the cold!

– Use alcohol wipes to clean your disc rotor; Contamination with some kind of oil on the rotors is a pain and can really mess up your braking. Use a few of them to properly clean the rotor, you always want to make sure your brakes are working properly!

– Use a contact lens case to carry some extra sunscreen lotion and / or chamoix cream. Just make sure you know which is which ;-) !!!!!
