Indian naan bread |
Singapore has a good choice of food and I think there are a few reasons. One of the reason is our people are from different ethnicity and the different culture bring about food of different flavours. So, there is abundant Chinese, Malay and Indian food. Speaking of Indian food, I have been having naan about once a week for the past few weeks. Partly because it was cooler days and partly because I like the spices. The man who is always an Indian man as far I as I have seen will knead the dough and roll it. Then pop it into a oven to grill for a few minutes. Then he hooks it out with a metal hook and it's ready. You can have it as a plain naan, butter naan or garlic naan. Pair it with your choice of some vegetable or meat curry.
Interestingly, while each piece of naan is made from the same batch of dough, every piece comes out unique. Just like human. See?
I usually have it with the vegetable or potato curry. The day before yesterday, it seems their normal bowls ran out and gave me the potato curry in the disposable bowl.
