Many of us grab the chance to do something even when it is not interesting to us. When I was a university student, my teacher was explaining that he gave up so many opportunities he could take just because he wanted to be a teacher. The reality is that most of the families in Bangladesh influence in career selection. Thus, young people sacrifice the self-interest to do something out of basket. If a children ask to a father, most fathers reply.
Children : Why I need to study?
Father : Because if you study better, you will get better job.
That's all ! most of my friends are studying for better job right now and some already got better or moderate jobs. But this will impact his family income and also the generation and indirectly the whole country economy if I say to be honest. But I don't know if all of them loved the work or they wanted to do from childhood. I wonder when someone loves to take photography but marry the machine because his parents want him to be a engineer.
When you love to see smile on innocent faces and people who wait for help, you should find a way to do this. When you love to educate people go for it and teach them. But if you are offered now for a job in a bank ? will you do it ? many of us wait for opportunity and then want to start something. They start something by chance but not by choice . So they fail to reach the success and can't find real excitement with the work.
The success should be defined by the person himself. I always believe in that our satisfaction depends on our expectations. As we don't know what the person expected in his life, we can't say that he is successful or unsuccessful.
As I said earlier, education should not be for a better job but to be a better human. Just find interest of work we want to do life long even if you fail that's doesn't matter, stand up and run again. I feel so much successful as I can see the result of my effort and passion. I see the flowers blooming in my garden and their smell making the environment more good.
The above smile of Srity is my success. Her smile was unstoppable while she was watching English educational cartoon from computer in last week.
I selected the field of human rights , social activities and teaching. I have offer for some other jobs as soon as I completed my graduation. But I love to do work with people who actually need my skill to help them, my network utilisation and leadership experience to drive positive change. So, I don't want to marry machine when I love something different to do. If I did care about my father's wish, I can be a banker now. But tell me if my choice was wrong ? As banker, I can earn some money for myself and my family. But I couldn't satisfy my expectation to help the world .
