Dear all, Today I had meeting with Mahmud Hasan, Chief Executive Officer of Apasen International and Zakir Hossain Parvez, Quality and Training Manager at Apasen International. It was informal meeting to discuss about the preparation of introduction seminar on "Online training on Autism & Neuro-development disorders".
The meeting least 2 hours. We discussed about how to develop human resources and training programs in Sylhet. Most time Apasen send trainers from UK. Lack of trainer and resource persons made our work more difficult. I am not a trainer but as volunteer helping the organization so kids get better future. Autistic kids are prophet from Heaven. They should not be underestimated. So, I don't want to limit my work activities with only normal kids but also help disabled kids education.
Our preparation is almost finished. We also visited the autistic school I work for since 2014. Tomorrow we have visit by political leaders who will donate some money to the school. So school teachers made the colorful for them. Well, I helped them by collecting audience chairs , Microphone and speaker from decorators.
Most of the teachers have no training and have general knowledge about autism. They are hired from after university degree which is really unrelated. Like, some of the teachers study background is Business. But they are trainer for autistic kids without training . Why? Here is lack of training facilities by Govt. and NGOs. Apasen helping the schools offering face to face training and lessons.
On 21 December, they are going to introduce online training course. The training facility over online will help parents and teachers to access courses. Apasen also wants to introduce courses in Sylhet which will allow to get training from them and get certificate. We also offered Apasen several issues that can be developed. Like fixed training center which will allow trainees to get resources available with minimum fees. They will later recruited by special schools. Special schools will not recruit trainers or teachers without the certificate and they have to keep their performance update every year.
After meeting, we visited tomorrow program venue. I have to invite some resource people tomorrow also have to wake up early morning. Tomorrow have to programs. One, some political leaders visit at the autistic school and seminar in evening. So many work. So sad that I don't know what happened with Tajira Operation because of my busy day.
Please note that, I am not the member of Apasen international but helping them to arrange the training and seminar in Sylhet and also supporting them as informal freelance volunteer. They run a Autistic school near to @SchoolForSDG4 and I also visited the school with them in the beginning of this year.
The School run by BRAC international and Apasen support the school financially and also provides training facilities for teachers.
