100% Voting Experiment Results Are In! 111 Total Votes To Get From 100% to 10% VP, $562.71 Total Rewarded Value...

Yes, the experiment results are in! Taking a total of 6 Day(s) starting on 6/20/2017 @ 2:14:39 PM this includes the time it took to replenish my Voting Power (VP) to 100%, Up voting all the comments in my original post (actually ran out of comments to vote on so moved onto the most recent experiment post) in chronological order and recorded changes in Voting Power & Vote Value (took longer then expected), and finally analyzing the data.

For more information on the experiment please refer to the original post here.

The Results

What I'll start with is the overall data from the experiment. (All data represented is during Step 3. in The Experiment)

They are some really interesting perspectives you can pull from this data alone, after looking at it carefully. Within roughly every 12 Days you could essentially make 1.89%-2% (depending on final 10% VP drainage) of your TAV by simply voting for yourself. Now with this same amount of time and VP could you make, in my case, $600 or so in curation of the same 12 Days using 100% for you VP? This as you can already tell is something I'm going to find out. But one thing I can answer very quickly is which one would be easier... This I feel could lead to some serious problems and we may need to consider a change in how self voting is handled. I will dive deeper into this into a post coming up soon.

One really cool part about the initial data, for me, was that I was able to give out $562.71 just from my upvotes alone. YEs it did take up almost 100% of my VP but its great to see what can be rewarded overall. Those same up votes add up , even for you smaller accounts, so make sure and use um.

The Votes

Here is the raw data from Step. 3 during the experiment. As you will see it is pretty straight forward and neat overall but does have a couple out of the ordinary results which could be caused by a number of occurrences on steemit, including a newly trending post that drew a lot of rewards of the reward pool or even a lag in votes around that time causing a flux (possibly?) anyway more after we check out this table.

All votes taken roughly 20 Seconds apart at 100%

I decided to stop at roughly 10% because after this point it would have taken a very long time to get to 0% (if even possible) and the data at this level wouldn't have proven very useful for overall analytics into the matter. I doubt many will be even getting around this level or lower when voting here on steemit so I figured I'll save another hour of my life endlessly voting and recording data. If someone wants to speculate on the rest of this table or better yet knows exactly how it will go feel free to give it a go and comment below.

The data gets very interesting to see when paired with quick calculations on VP drop and Value Drop after each vote. as I continue to draw more conclusions on this data feel free to discuss a possible function to fully explain VP on voting over time. The charts look more like a living thing this votes, heart rate and all ;) all joking aside you can see the trend on the VP drop as is also very visible in the table but the change in value from each vote has a less defined downward movement (even going back up unexpectedly a few times) but again for the most part diminishing a a very apparent rate.

Overall

This experiment although to some may have been a complete waste of time, VP, and potential lose in curation rewards... maybe ;), I enjoyed it. The results have defiantly opened up some questions on self voting , which, as I said, I will try and experiment with further and see if change may be needed? For now I will leave you with the data to come to your own conclusions and look forward to some conversation with some of you more mathematical folk or anyone with an opinion in general.
