Though I still love (and need) my morning dose of coffee, many people are avoiding this overly delicious morning drink. If you are one of those people or just a green smoothie lover, then I might have found the ideal pick-me-up to start your day that isn't coffee.
Have you ever heard of MCT oil? Though you could also use coconut oil, MCT oil is more concentrated and only consist out of medium-chain triglycerides, or the healthy kind of fat that is one of the fastest sources of clean fuel for body and brain. Is MCT oil and bullet-proof coffees, or in this case a bulletproof smoothie, worth all the hype?
You will have to check this one out for yourself. All I can say, It's only 6.30 am and I am already jumping around. Full steem ahead. Last working day today. Though I feel super energized, can't wait to close the doors of our bakery after a 4th successful week.

BULLETPROOF SMOOTHIE TO BOOST BRAINPOWER AND CURB THE APPETITE 🍵 🍵 🍵
INGREDIENTS (serves 2)
- 2 cup fresh spinach
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro (or parsley for the cilantro haters like my hubby)
- 1-1.5 tbsp fresh ginger, chopped
- 1 cup filtered water
- 2 cups cucumber, chopped
- 2 passion fruits
- 2 medium green apples, cored
- 2 T fresh lemon juice
- 1-2 T organic MCT Oil (or extra virgin coconut oil)
FYI: no lover of the green taste, swap parsley for more spinach for a milder green taste.
DIRECTIONS
- Blend water, parsley, and spinach until smooth. Add all other ingredients and blend again. If you have a high-speed blender you can throw everything in at once. Add more water if needed.
- Optional: Supercharge your smoothie with superfoods such as hemp hearts, chia seeds or goji berries if you like. I used hemp hearts as a topping this time.
