Goodmorning steemit! Ready for the new week? I sure am after this lovely green drink! It was just the thing I needed on a hot tropical morning as this. Refreshing and packed with so many good-for-you nutrients and probiotics.

Think I feel ready for the new week. If all goes according to plan - which is not always easy in Cambodia, so many things that can go wrong here - we start selling our first bread from the bakery in a few days! Exciting. Once that is going smoothly we will start to concentrate on the coffee shop and health cafe. Witch will be more my territory!

HYDRATING ACAI WATERMELON AVOCADO MORNING DRINK πŸ‰πŸŒ±πŸ₯‘


Watermelon is a low-calorie, hydrating fruit that is naturally high in antioxidants that fight free radical damage and inflammation. Furthermore, watermelon is a great source of vitamins and minerals - such as vitamin A and C - that can help prevent a number of serious illnesses such as cancer, heart disease, Alzheimer’s disease, arthritis and many others.

Watermelon thanks many of it health benefits and beautiful red hue to the antioxidant lycopene, a certain type of carotenoid that is currently of great interest to researchers.

Watermelon has shown to limit bodily stress, it keeps DNA damage to a minimum and slows the aging process. if may help relieve pain, improve exercise recovery, keep the skin healthy and youthful, and help with detoxification.

Ready for this power smoothie?

INGREDIENTS (SERVS 2 FOR BREAKFAST)


  • 5 cups watermelon (seeded and cubed)
  • 2 cups spinach
  • 1 avocado
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1-2 tsp lemon zest
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1/2 cup cultured coconut yogurt
  • 2 tbsp acai powder
  • 1/2 tsp camu powder
  • 2 tbsps hemp hearts (keep some for topping)
  • Water as needed

DIRECTIONS


  1. Blend spinach and water in a blender. Blend until smooth. Add all other ingredients and blend again. If you have a high -speed blender you can throw everything in at once. If the smoothie is too thick for you at more water.
  2. Optional: top with superfoods like chia seeds, hemp hearts, or goji berries if you like. I used hemp hearts this time.
