Your skin (and heart) will thank you for this one! I know mine have!
All of the ingredients in this beautifully, delicious little number are gathered together to pump your body full of antioxidants thus, giving you younger looking, tighter/firmer, brighter skin! Who doesn’t want that?
I have noticed a dramatic difference in the appearance of my skin since I redesigned my diet and I am excited to share ways that changed my life with you!
Papaya-Orange, Coconut-Banana, Dragonfruit Antioxidant Twist
I am a huge fan of smoothies. I drink one for breakfast every morning so if you like this and would like me to share more of my combinations with you, let me know! I use my taste-tester, intuition and nutritional studies to come up with the best recipes imaginable- combining the best tastes and flavours with the most health benefits! Yay!
Most of the time, I keep things simple and don’t add in anything other than water for my morning smoothies (occasionally coconut milk or cream like today if I want something a bit thicker!) I like to keep my wake-up drink light, sweet and delicious to jump-start my day full of healthy sugars and clean energy!
In order to achieve this out-of-this-world-galaxy experience you’ll need to form layers in the smoothie.
How do you do that? Simply put, it’s going to depend on the weight of the liquids you add and you need to do it in steps.
If we start like this, (which looks really cool on its own even before we mix), you’ll notice that there are obvious layers throughout. I blended each section separately and poured them gently on top of each other.
Ingredients: (makes 2 servings)
Orange:
- Handful of ripe (orange) papaya
Papaya is great for the skin, heart health and digestion! It’s full of antioxidants and is a soldier against inflammation! - 1 orange
Jammed packed with vitamin C, fiber and potassium! Low glycemic on the index scale and a champion for your immune system by reducing free radicals in the body.
White:
- 6 tbs coconut cream
Dairy free which also means vegan! Coconuts are filled with vitamins minerals and healthy fats which make them a great addition to any smoothie! - 2 finger bananas
Bananas are full of fiber and antioxidants.
Pink:
- Half of a pink dragon fruit
Helps decrease cholesterol levels, high fiber (relieves constipation), rich in antioxidants and vitamin C= great for skin! - 1/3 cup water
Directions:
- Blend the ‘orange’ ingredients together (do not add any water! The orange should be enough to blend your mixture together, you want it to be thick!)
- Pour ‘orange’ section into cups
- Blend ‘white’ ingredients together, you want it to be thick and creamy!
- Pour ‘white’ section into cups
- Blend the ‘pink’ section together, for this part it’s better to be a bit more liquidy than the previous sections!
- Now you can add the ‘pink’ section ontop, it should all stay in its layers like shown here!
- If you want, you can drink it like this but if you want the galaxy effect, take a utensil and put it in the cup, continually gently lifting the liquid to the top, mixing it bit by bit and creating your own masterpiece!
I hope you like this recipe! Not only does it taste good out of this world, it’s healthy for you and also looks beautiful thus adding a bit of rainbow to your day! Who can ask for more from a drink? ;)
Sending you love today and everyday! I believe we can heal the body and heart through food!
