Fruit Pie Recipe (Mini Fruit tart)

Good evening my dearest steemit friends,

Today i come back with a very tasty fruit pie i stuffed it with a pastry cream and decorate it with kiwi, strawberry and raspberry . they were so tasty and nothing above the homemade desserts. The recipe is almost avaliable on every home so you need the following Ingredients to make these delicious mini tarts.

Prep time: 20 mins

Baking time: 40 mins

Ingredients for 3 mini tarts:

For Pastry Crust:

2 cups flour
150g unsalted butter(room temperature)
1 egg
1 Tbsp sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
pinch of salt

for Pastry Cream:

4 eggs yolk
2 cups milk
1 vanilla pod
70g Butter(room temperature)
3/4 cup sugar
3 Tbsp corn starch

For decoration:

1 Kiwi fruit
5 Strawberries
9 raspberries

The way:

  • In a bowl place all the crust ingredients and mix all together until you have a crumbled dough.
  • Place it in a plastic wrap and gather it simply as a ball, chill for 30 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, preheat oven at 200°c and place rack in center of oven.
  • Cut the dough into 3 equal balls, epread each dough then place it in a 12 cm removable bottom tart pan, lightly prick bottom of pastry crust with the tines of a fork. Bake it for 20 minutes or until light golden coulr.
  • To prepare the pastry cream pour the milk into a saucepan add sugar and the beans of vanilla pod includ the whole vanilla pod, bring it to boiling(just until milk foam up).
  • In a large bowl whisk the eggs with corn starch, then pour gradually the hot milk whisking constantly to prevent curdling , pour back the mixtur to the same saucepan place it in a medium heat, whisk until thicken ( remove the vanilla pod) then add the butter until melted.
  • Place the cream pastry into a bowl cover the top with plastic wrap cool at room temperature.
  • Let the crust cool down then spread the pastry cream onto the bottom of the tart shell.
  • Decorate with fruits, chill until serving.
