Everyone should have a simple truffle recipe on hand in my opinion. Using the rest of the chocolate ganache I made yesterday for a to die for surprise desert I'll share soon, I made these guys which are just fudgy chocolate delights rolled in peanut flour, which gives them that tanish coating.
What I Used:
300 g milk chocolate chips
2-3 T almond milk
Peanut flour, cacao powder, powdered sugar or other coating.
Here's a shot of the flour, just there for the final dusting step.
How it's done:
- Using a double boiler, melt the chocolate and milk together until smooth.
- Allow to cool then chill overnight.
- Scoop out spoonfuls and gently use your hands to roll them into spheres, then drop them into the peanut flour or other topping and roll to coat. Set aside in a container while you make the rest.
- Chill and store in the fridge until serving. These will be good in the fridge for a long time, if they last.
These are really so good and there's good value in being able to make ganache for all sorts of recipes. It's something I plan on incorporating in many future recipes so stay tuned, as it's both pretty and tasty.
