Day 18: 5 Minute Freewrite - Prompt: write about something which was left at your door

Imgur

Please welcome our newest freewriters @janine-ariane @iyanpol12 @tpkidkai @littlescribe and @valorforfreedom

Many of our freewriters are new to the platform and get very few votes on their posts. Every day, I am inviting you to visit one and leave some comments and votes. Today, please visit @brisby

We are doing this for almost 3 weeks now and our numbers have grown! Which is wonderful and I am very excited about this. But, alas, my steempower is not big enough to up-vote all your posts and/or the links you leave on the comment post.

So, I came up with this plan.

The Plan

For the next 7 days, starting Monday, November 6/2017 and ending Sunday, November 12/2017, I will share the SBD payout of the prompt posts with all of you who do the following:

  • Post at least 2 freewrites in the 7 days
  • Use the prompt - I will not accept posts which have nothing at all to do with the prompt. The idea is to write something new for this challenge.
  • Leave a link to your freewrite or copy your 5 minute freewrite in the comments of the prompt.
  • You must do all - I can’t hunt you all down to try to count you.

I will try to leave the next prompt as a comment on your previous freewrite - but no promises. You must look for the daily prompt yourself to make sure you get it.

I will add up the SBD of the 7 prompts and divide it equally between all who have participated in at least 2 freewrites AND left the link in the comments.

I will try this for one week and see how much work that is for me. We see what next week will bring.

Now, on to today’s freewrite!

Prompt: write about something which was left at your door

  • Set your timer to 5 minutes.
  • Start writing
  • Use the hashtag #freewrite
  • Publish your piece (include a link to this post if you wish)

Copy and paste your URL into the comment section of the prompt post.

  • Or, if you don't want to publish your freewrite, just copy and paste as a comment under the prompt post.

I think this is the first time of a prompt asking you to describe something rather than to incorporate the word in your writing.

If you don't know what a freewrite is, her is a link to the introduction post: @mariannewest/writers-or-wanna-be-writers-wanted-be-free-freewrite

This is the funniest thing coming out of a freewrite. Check out this post by our freewriter @themerrylotus. Cat bot kept giving her facts and she answered. Over 60 comments and I had to laugh so hard!! Thank you for this!! :)

And here is an app that our new freewriter @valorforfreedom suggested to us. http://www.themostdangerouswritingapp.com/ This app keeps you honest. If you stop writing for a bit during the five minutes - it erases your text. After the 5 minutes, you can download or copy and paste what you wrote.

If you like this and want more people to come out and play - resteem!

Remember to check your voting power. Do not vote for a while if you are under 90!

Also, I would love it if you all check out each others #freewrite and spread some love :)

Our sweet freewriter @ellievallie has nominated me for an opportunity to receive a regular upvote for 6 weeks. Actually, we both would if we are chosen. Also, another of our freewriters, @whatisnew, is also nominated. Maybe you all can visit [this post and give a vote[(@stsl/win-sbd-and-60-days-of-upvotes-from-stsl-share-the-steem-love-competition-no-9-enter-now)

Also, there is a new competition every week. Keep recommending each other……
