Hi Everyone!
If you remember a few days back I showed you how I built a house in Sims 4. You can find that post here.
After finishing that house I was itching to decorate it, put a family to live in it, to see how the house worked in the game.
I even made a few video's of me decorating the house to share with you but..........I got bored watching them so I saved you from that!
I found out that when I decorate I do a lot of just staring at the house, put one piece in, and look at it for another 10 minutes. While that works for making pretty houses it doesn't work for making interesting videos!
I can look at a chair for 5 minutes, move it 2 inches, look for another 5 minutes and move it 8 more times before I like where it is.
I'm not sure what that says about me but I'm thinking it says something I don't want to know!
So as you can see I decorated the house and was in love with how it all turned out. A few things caused me problems but all in all I was very happy. I went and made a brand new family for the house and moved them there.
While the house is not large it has 2 floors and when one of your Sims is on another floor than the one you are looking at, you can not see them. I find this a pain.
But I had a lovely new house I wanted to play in!
What to do! what to do!
I then saved the 2 story house to the gallery, saved my game and then reloaded the game.
I found a new property that was a bit bigger.
I then took the three rooms and laid them out next to the first story of the house.
I made them all connect in a way I thought made sense, and then fixed the roof to cover, the now, larger ceiling area.
I was very happy with how it all turned out and I think I kept the same feel to the house while making it just one level.
For me, it is so much easier to play Sims 4 when I can see everyone all at the same time.
So if you like a house but, like me, don't care for 2 story houses in Sims, this has been the easiest way I have found to fix the problem.
Happy Gaming!
