Jakarta grew dark.
People were going home in a hurry. I took this photo in Palmerah Street, Jakarta. Big building in the right side is a public health service office. The road next to building is Palmerah Barat Street. Traffic jam was common on this road.
In this dusk, the sky and sunsets are beautiful. But not for people on the road.

Senja di Jakarta
Judul ini meniru judul novel Mochtar Lubis. Judul yang sederhana tapi puitis. Tapi, isi novel Mochtar tidaklah romantis. Kalau kau membacanya, kau akan melihat bahwa novel itu bicara tentang kemiskinan dan korupsi--dua topik favorit Mochtar.
Foto ini aku ambil pada suatu sore yang tak begitu cerah. Bangunan terbesar yang tampak di sisi kiri itu adalah gedung Pusat Kesehatan Masyarakat. Jalan di sampingnya tampak padat. Jalan itu memang sering macet.
Matahari dan langit di senja itu memang indah tapi kesibukan manusia di bawahnya tidaklah cantik.
