Over 6500 HAIRSHARE tokens have been given out to hair donors, contest winners and those who have helped out the community. One of the possibilities for obtaining value from HAIRSHARE tokens is to trade them for a vote from the @nepd account.
@rawbinhutt was the first brave soul to try out the process. He sent 4 HAIRSHARE to "nepd1" on bitshares to promote a post detailing his Looking For Niche project - something you should definitely check out.
Approximately 56 seconds later, a 40% upvote - worth about .61 cents - was given to @rawbinhutt 's selected post from the @nepd account.

Write a fantastic post. I reserve the right to refund HAIRSHARE tokens if a low-quality/NSFW post is submitted.
Send a selected amount of HAIRSHARE tokens to "nepd1" via the Bitshares/OpenLedger DEX, including your post URL as a memo. As this is a purely positive endeavor, there is no option to downvote, only upvotes will be carried out.
Each token will earn you a 10% upvote from the @nepd account, currently worth about 16 cents. A 100% (about $1.60) upvote will cost you 10 tokens. This exchange rate will be tweaked as needed.
This is not yet an automatic process, so please be patient with the voting. If your post has less than 24 hours until payout, I would not recommend requesting a vote.
