Today is International Yoga Day - Let's Celebrate it with some Yoga πŸ’–πŸ’–

One thing that Globally people associate India with is Yoga. India is a country with diverse culture, traditions and practices. A country of 29 States and 22 major languages where practically every State has a different culture and language is bonded with one common thing and is proud of which is YOGA, and this has also helped India gain respect and popularity in other parts of the world.

Yoga if done in the right manner and under the right guidance can bring in a lot of benefits, not only at physical level but also at mental and emotional levels. Yoga is one activity where there are no short cuts. In the times we live fitness has become a major challenge and there are lot of fast track solutions available in the market, but what benefits Yoga bring, no other practice gives that. I have come across a lot of people who have been gymming for a long time and eventually they have harmed their body, where as the Yoga works other way around where the harmed body can be brought back to complete fitness with Yoga....

The word Yoga itself means Union. Which means union of the Mind Body and Soul. A lot of people start doing Yoga for physical benefits but it has been the fact that if the practice is done daily and in the right manner eventually it brings a change to the person and it becomes a journey towards self- realization and self-reflection.

A minimum 20 minutes practice daily is good enough to bring change within you over a period of time. As I always say Yoga should be done slowly, steadily and effortlessly. It is not Acrobats where one needs to ensure that the body is twisted and turned in all the possible ways. Yoga can be done in simple ways and as the progress happens the complex postures are also possible with ease. Yoga teaches you many things including the most important and that is patience. Hence any teacher who pushes you beyond a point to get to a certain complexed position is not doing Yoga.

So Relax and Breathe and daily set out a schedule for your Yoga Practice for a minimum of 20 minutes.

One of our class where you clearly see One is perfect and one still getting there, but it is fine. That is what Yoga teaches you to overcome challenges.

For increasing your focus and concentration, this particular position is very useful. The way to do it is, you sit in a relaxed position with hands down for 2 minutes and then you go up sit in the position for 3 minutes, again you come down and relax 2minutes. 3 such cycles need to be done.
