The Interview Showcase #62- Exclusive Talk With A Nigerian Blogger

Hi there,

Welcome to the 62nd edition of “The interview showcase...." and my 32nd show for 2023. Stay calm and follow along as I unveil this interesting edition of the Interview showcase.

If you are new to this page, this lifestyle program has many educational values. A weekly interview of top users/users in the blog concerning some trending topics on the Steemit platform. And tips that can help other Steemians to progress positively and help boost the Steem’s growth.

It will help you to get to know more about Steemians around the globe and even Steem and Steemit itself.

I take time to look at some of the most important topics in the blockchain and have a chat/call with top Steemians who have a greater idea about those topics.

They also share some tips that can help other users understand the blockchain and correctly use it. Sometimes they seek valuable suggestions here to help them solve some of their challenges.

In this week's show, I had a good conversation with one vibrant and active Nigerian blogger who has proven her creativity beyond any reasonable doubt. She gets herself busy with the different topics that are featured in the engagement challenge each week.

She is a chef and hairdresser. Don't be confused.., here in Nigeria one person can have more than one skill, it's just a way to survive here.

Please join me as I welcome @ninapenda from Nigeria.

Ubongudofot
: For those who missed your "Introductory post", what can you tell us about yourself in one sentence?

🔶Ninapenda: I would describe myself as an honest and open person with a cheerful heart who is so dedicated to achieving her goals.

Ubongudofot
: Why Ninapenda?

🔶Ninapenda: The name Ninapenda is not my real name although a lot of people think that's my name because I answer it offline. So this beautiful name came from a friend who turn out to be my brother, but when I found out the meaning of Ninapenda, I embraced it and never let go.

Ubongudofot
: How did you hear about Steemit and why did you join?

🔶Ninapenda: I heard about Steemit from a friend who was once an admin/founder of a community but not anymore. I joined Steemit because I had a passion to improve more on my writing skill. I also needed to learn new things and have another stream of income.

Ubongudofot
: What are some of the differences you noticed on steemit between then and now?

🔶Ninapenda: One of the differences between then and now is the introduction of beautiful initiatives like club status, the burns-teem initiative, and the engagement challenge. Back then there was nothing like that

Ubongudofot
: What are some of your achievements since you joined steemit?

🔶Ninapenda: Steemit has helped me achieve a lot online and offline. Online, my reputation has increased, and I have been able to make valuable friends, whereas offline there is a lot I can't mention.

Ubongudofot
: How do you plan to boost your growth in the blog?

🔶Ninapenda: To boost my growth in the community, firstly, power up which is the most crucial key to everyone's growth. Secondly, I will follow the rules guiding t communities and thirdly, I will keep supporting others.

Ubongudofot
: As a chef, what's the most difficult meal you have ever prepared?

🔶Ninapenda: The most difficult meal I have ever prepared was fried rice. It gave me hard times but I was able to achieve it.

Ubongudofot
: You have gained a lot of support with some of your posts on Steemit lately- how do you feel about that?

🔶Ninapenda: Aside from the excitement, I feel really privileged and grateful for all the support.

Ubongudofot
: Whose Steemit blog are you most entertained by and why?

🔶Ninapenda: Well there are great users on this platform regardless of fake people. Am most entertained by 3 users' blogs. @ubongudofot @patjewell and @ruthjoe. These users blog has impacted my life and each of them has its unique niche. I love to visit Ruthjoe's blog for her movie highlight every weekend, I love Patjewell's blog for the captivating way she shares her publication, especially her diaries, and I love Ubongudofot's blog for his interview showcase and steemit grandmasters.

Ubongudofot
: If Steemit was to be your own, what will you do to market it effectively?

🔶Ninapenda: If steemit was to be mine what I would do to market it effectively would be to create adverts or publicity on other social media networks. I would even run a weekly ad on Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram. Secondly, I would give stipends to the first 100 users who register just to encourage them and use it as bait to get more users on board.

Ubongudofot
: Some great points there..!

Ubongudofot
: How do you feel about the Multisig wallet by @pennsif and his team?

🔶Ninapenda: This is a very interesting question, of course, I feel excited about the multi-sig wallet. At least if communities can adopt it, it will go a long way to reduce fraudulent practices by community founders. And bring about growth for Steemit.

Ubongudofot
: If all the communities adopt the Multisig wallet, what do you think Steem and the Steemit blog would look like?

🔶Ninapenda: Steemit blog would look amazing if all the communities adopt a multi-sig wallet, trust will indeed be restored among community owners, users, and the Steemit team.

Ubongudofot
: Do you think communities in your country need a Multisig wallet and why?

🔶Ninapenda: Yes I think all communities in my country need a multi-sig wallet because in the past we have witnessed a power-down from some trusted communities in my country, this has bridged the trust users and even the Steemit team has for our communities in my country. So with a multi-sig wallet, I believe the Steemit team would be able to support communities in my country again, we need to adopt that!

Ubongudofot
: Talking about the Steemit team, are you among those users who want to know Steemit team members in person?

🔶Ninapenda: Oh no, that would be a wrong Idea. There would be a lot of disturbance that might distract them from handling their duties. So it's better to be anonymous to avoid unnecessary disturbance..., do you know any?

Ubongudofot
: Some questions are better not answered, respect confidentiality! And maybe some confidential matters follow me to the grave🙂

Ubongudofot
: If you were given a chance to visit any place in the world which country will you like to visit and how long will you want to stay?

🔶Ninapenda: I would love to visit Canada if given the opportunity and I would like to stay as long as I want to stay. maybe 5 years and above.

Ubongudofot
: If you were to operate the SC01 account for 6 hours what will you put into consideration before curating and what will you avoid?

🔶Ninapenda: Hmm this is tough but I can do a lot in 6 hours. I will put into consideration originality, quality, and hard work. I would avoid posts with plagiarism, bot service users, and Ai generated content.

Ubongudofot
: Which user or users will you like me to interview in my show and why?

🔶Ninapenda: I would like you to interview @pandora2010 from Venezuela and @sahmie from Nigeria. These users are so dedicated to their work and are so committed to the Steemit platform too. I love their energy.

Ubongudofot
: What is your favourite song to dance to?

🔶Ninapenda:I love Omah lay songs, unfortunately I don't have a favourite song to dance. Once the beat is cool, I dance to it.

Ubongudofot
: I know Omah lay, and I do enjoy his songs too.

Ubongudofot
: The Steemit engagement challenge seems to help a lot of users in terms of growth and expression, what can you say will be its accomplishment in the next three months?

🔶Ninapenda: Yes I agree that Steemit's engagement has helped a lot of users in terms of growth and expression and in three months, I envision that more communities will be allowed to be a part of the selected community to host the challenge. Secondly, I see more users being supported through this initiative.

Ubongudofot
: Do you have any messages for the steemit team?

🔶Ninapenda: Yes I do have a message for the Steemit team. I would like to appreciate them for their support thus far to me and several other hardworking users. I would also like to see more initiative from them that would foster growth on this platform, of course, willing to support.

Ubongudofot
: What can you say about the Interview showcase?

🔶Ninapenda: Wow! Interview Showcase is an amazing initiative and publication that has motivated me personally to move on following and reading stories of those interviewed in the past. It's a show that is worth my time. I always look out for it every week.
