As you all know that Steemit Pakistan has just started an initiative of Steemit Pakistan Schooling to Educate the Steemians about Cryptocurrencies. They asked for volunteers to deliver lecture about the topics which we have learned from Steemit Crypto Academy.

So I decided to educate my fellow steemians about Non Fungible Tokens (NFT) which I learned from this lecture of Professor @levycore

NON Fungible Tokens (NFT's)

What is NFT? Before answering that question let me shed some light on “collectibles". A highly valued item sought by the collectors is known as collectible and NFT stands for Non-Fungible tokens.

NFT is a type of digitally available collectibles. The scarce the object is, the higher its value is. NFT's represents the real-world items such as art, music, videos, etc. One of the popular examples of NFT is the crypto kitties project.

In the last few years, the popularity of NFTs has increased a lot. Just like Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, NFTs also make use of Blockchain technology.

So if they are very popular and valuable, How can one get his/her hand on them? The answer to that question is very simple. NFTs have their dedicated marketplaces, where you can buy and sell NFTs of your choice.

Best and Most Famous NFT Marketplaces

There are many different marketplaces for NFTs. Everyone has something unique to offer so they can attract collectors to use their platforms. Some of the best marketplaces I have chosen to share with you today in order to give you an insight, what is out there in the market for you to explore.

This ranking of Best NFT Marketplaces based on my own experience after using these sites.

Rarible.com

Rarible.com is one of my favorite NFT marketplace which allows us to easily buy and sell NFTs. The site is very easy to use, you can easily get the hang of it. The best thing I like about the site is, you are not bound to create your account. You can just go to the site, connect your wallet and start buying or selling NFT.

The site also gives an option of creating your own NFT collection. All in all, it is the BEST site for buying and Selling NFTs.

Crypto.com

Crypto.com is also one of the leading NFT marketplaces. The site leads the way with its innovative and easy-to-use user interface and top-notch account security. When you visit the site you need to create an account to be able to buy and sell NFTs on the site. The account security of the site is very good with Two-factor authentication feature.

Although the site has been launched but some of its features are under development such as the creation of your own NFTs. That's why I put this site on 3rd in my ranking of Best NFT Marketplaces.

OpenSea.io

Another simple and elegant marketplace is OpenSea.io, according to me as well as some ranking sites, Opensea.io is the top-ranked NFT marketplace. You can buy, sell and create your own NFTs on OpeanSea.io. The base currency of the platform is Ethereum.

Now let us do a buying and selling process of NFTs on OpenSea so you people can better understand the example.

How to buy NFT's on OpenSea.io?

follow the below mentioned steps to know that how you can buy NFT from Opensea.io

Step 1: Open your browser and go to google.com. Type in OpenSea in the search bar.

Step 2: Click on the second link or hit enter to display the search results.

Step 3: Click on the first link to visit the site OpenSea.io

Step 4: Click on the Explore button on the home page.

Step 5: By clicking on the Explore button, you will be directed to the buying selling page. You can also adjust your search by adding filters from the side of the page.

Step 6: See something you like, click on it, and let's buy it.

Step 7: When you click on any NFT from the page, you will be directed to the buying page.

Here you will find all the information about that NFT including Owner, price, history, and other details.

Step 8: For buying the NFT click on Buy now.

Step 9: When you click on the Buy now button it will ask you to attach your wallet. Sign in to your wallet.

Step 10: Make the payment so you can own the selected NFT.

How to Sell NFT on OpenSea?

Follow the below mentioned steps to know that how you can sell NFT on Opensea.io

Step 1: For Creating and Selling an NFT on OpenSea, Click on the create button on the homepage.

Step 2: You will be directed to "My Collections", Click on create and the site will allow you to create your own NFT.

Step 3: when you are creating your first item, your search list will be empty. Click on Add item Button and select the item you want to add.

Step 4: Fill in all the required information including Name, Description, Links, Add properties, Levels and Status and then click on create.

Step 5: The created NFT will appear in your collection.

To sell it, click on and set it or Fix price or create an abiding system and set an ending time for the auction.

But before you can put your NFT for sale you need to pay the platform fee which you can pay through your wallet.

That's it.

Summary

NFTs are well-known digital collectibles. We have learned a bit about What NFTs are? and how they work? We learned about the NFT markets and explored some NFT marketplaces including Rarible, Crypto, and OpenSea. At the end, we learned the process of buying and selling an NFT on OpenSea.io
