Now it's time to share my battle for this week as per the challenge by @splinterlands and this week theme is SERPENT OF ELD
Before I continue my better share I would like to thank the team of @splinterlands for picking up my last battle post and highlighting in the weekly challenge. It always feels good when our work is appreciated and I am So happy to share that my last week battle post in the weekly Battle Share Challenge post. I know that team is working very hard to go through all the post and add their comments along with upvote. All this requires so much of the time and effort and I appreciate the team's efforts for this wonderful work on the platform.
This week's theme is SERPENT OF ELD This is a rare card from the Water monster team. I did not have this card in my collection so I did buy it from the market.
The price for this card was not too much and I think anybody would be able to buy it easily through STEEM, DEC and even through credits. Such a fantastic card in Water Team and I am happy that I got one of the most useful and strong cards in my collection. All this is possible because Team is sharing one nice card every week and that way we get to know about the cards. Players who are here since long time will I have information about more cards but since I have completed only a few seasons here so not aware of various cards but this weekly better share challenge is helping me to have more knowledge about cards and their capabilities.
Card Selection and Placement for Battle
This is my battle snapshot for the battle and since there was mana of 18 which is average. If I get mana more than 25 then I choose more powerful cards but at this mana, I managed to choose the best of the cards possible. So I have chosen 4 cards as mentioned below-
1- FURIOUS CHICKEN
2- SERPENT OF ELD
3- RULER OF THE SEAS
4- COCATRICE
I have placed the above cards in the same order that mentioned with the hope of the outcome that I will win the battle and make myself have some score added to my rating.
FURIOUS CHICKEN
This is the all-time favourite car that I always use in my better if there is less mana because this car does not cost me any manner and for me, it's like a bonus which I can use with all my battles. It's simply saved my other card From the heat and that helps my other card to make the damage in the opponent player's team. This is a kind of must-have card in all my battle in Mannar is below 20. Good thing is that in last season I got a gold foil Chicken which is helping me two earn more DEC tokens in every battle I play with gold cards.
SERPENT OF ELD
This is a card on which the entire battle is based on and since this card comes at seven mana and also one of the powerful cards in water splinters. I don't have much experience with this card but looking at its power and I kept it in second place. Once Chicken is out the battle then this one can handle the battle.
RULER OF THE SEAS
This is highly strong that I have in my water team and this is even an expensive card. Having this card in the team increase winning chances by 50% because of its amazing capabilities.
It hits two cards at the same time and destroys other team cards badly. If you don't know about it then I suggest you watch my battle and then you will agree with me.
COCATRICE
I choose this one as my last card because this is the best card that can be taken with just 2 mana and its hitting capabilities are nice too.

Did my strategy work? will I try differently next time?
Yes, My strategy worked and I am happy that though I am new with the theme card and I won the battle with it. will surely try various ways to hands-on different strategies and hope these will be fun too. There was a constraint on the mana because it was only 18 and in this amount choosing a more powerful card was not possible. I did choose whatever was the best possible and even the result is great.
Do you use SERPENT OF ELD often? Why or why not?
This is a new card for me and I bought it 2 days back once this challenge post was shared. My water splinter team is very good as per my opinion but having another great made it even better. My battling experience with Serpent of Eld has been nice so far and I will be using this card for sure in my future battles with the water team.
I have completed almost 2 months on splinterlands and I think I have got much knowledge about the game and platform. I understand that there is a lot to learn for me so I was a little worried when Steem Harford was announced because there was no clarity from the splinterlands team side but they finally cleared their stand. They confirmed they are here on steem and at the same time, they will be monitoring the new chain closely. As a player, it does not matter for me on which the game is on and as long as I am able to play then I am happy with it. I thank the @splinterlands team for sharing the update and I always like your transparency and clear information
