Picture this: me, Sumaya Orin, a self-proclaimed rickshaw aficionado, cruising through the chaotic streets of Dhaka. Now, you might be wondering why on Earth someone would declare a three-wheeled contraption as their favourite mode of transportation in a city known for its polluted air. Well, my friends, let me enlighten you with tales of my epic rickshaw adventures.
The Rickshaw: A Breath of Fresh Air
In a city where even breathing feels like an extreme sport, the rickshaw becomes my superhero, providing me with fresh air as if it has an invisible air purification system installed. I mean, who needs fancy air filters when you have a rickshaw ride? It's like stepping into a portable oxygen bar on wheels, with the added bonus of a moving scenic tour of Dhaka's traffic mayhem.

Memories on Three Wheels
But it's not just about the air quality; the rickshaw holds a treasure trove of memories for me. Back in my college and university days, it was my trusty steed, transporting me to the hallowed halls of education. I'd hop on, armed with my backpack full of books, ready to conquer the world—or at least pass my exams. As we jingled and jangled through the streets, I felt like a knight in shining armor, albeit one battling potholes and dodging pedestrians..
From College Days to a Romantic Ride
Ah, young love! When I met my then-boyfriend, now-husband, we embarked on a rickshaw romance for the ages. Our idea of a grand date involved taking a rickshaw ride through the bustling city, munching on the finest street snacks Dhaka had to offer. We would weave through the streets, like a modern-day Romeo and Juliet, only with less tragedy and more “jhal muri”. Oh, the combination of the sweet flavour of romance and the spiciness of street cuisine is a formula for love, my friends!.
Have you ever traveled by plane? If you do then please share your experience. |
My baby in front of a Aircraft
Travelling by air has consistently been a thrilling adventure for me. Whenever I step onto an airplane, a unique blend of anticipation and apprehension takes hold of me. On my first few flights, I remember firmly clutching my husband's hand during takeoff to feel secure and protected.. Nevertheless, those early jitters started to subside as I kept flying. I grew to admire the amazing engineering achievement that enables flying for people. I was spellbound by the mesmerizing views below as I peered out the window, taking in the awesome majesty of God's creation. Flying has taught me to welcome new experiences and to view the world's natural beauty from a different angle.

Do you have any transport of your own? Please provide with pictures if any. |
Fast forward to the present, and life has evolved. We now own a car, and our daughter accompanies us on our adventures. Undoubtedly, the car provides unparalleled comfort and convenience, shielding us from the chaos of the city. With its air conditioning to combat the oppressive heat and its roomy seats for our family, the automobile offers a degree of comfort that is difficult to equal. Our ability to move around the city easily and comfortably has become a crucial component of our daily existence. Yet, despite its practicality, we still find ourselves occasionally choosing the rickshaw for the sheer fun and nostalgia it brings.

Which transports are more expensive and comfortable for you?
|
According to my point of view air travel is the most expensive but comfortable and noteworthy means of transportation due to its speed and efficiency, particularly for long-distance travels. It lacks, however, the personal touch and intimate interaction with the surroundings that rickshaws and other ground-based modes offer.
As I continue my quest for fresh air and hilarious escapades in the chaotic streets of Dhaka, I shall forever cherish the rickshaw as my favorite mode of transport. It's a trip that combines realism, nostalgia, and a dash of lunacy. However, in terms of cost and convenience, having our own automobile clearly delivers a higher level of comfort and convenience.
So,This is all about my sharing for today. I hope you have enjoyed and liked my post.
