BLACK AND WHITE PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST WEEK #022 - The Independence Palace

DSC_04.JPG

The photo was taken in HCMC in Vietnam. The place is the Independence Palace built in 1966. It was meant to serve as presidential palace. When the first tanks entered Saigon in the morning of April 30, 1975, it was built against this. That was the day Saigon surrendered. The building itself and all the furniture stands as it did that day.
