This photo was taken last year in Rapa Nui / Easter Island. The photo was taken on a hike to the highest point on the island – Terevaka at a hight of 507 meters. When standing on the top you can see almost the whole island, but you see nothing but sea all around. The island is isolated. The distance to Chile is 3700 km. And the distance to the nearest island Pitcairn is 2000 kilometers.
