The photo was taken in Argentina, between the small town of Cachi and the larger city Salta in the north-western part of the country. The drive from Cachi to Salto is a drive through the Parque nacionales los Cardones. The first part is a large area of hills and ravines that varies between 2.700m and 5000 m. The first part is a drive through giant cactus groves in this high-desert territory with snowcapped mountains in the background.
