Greetings friends of Steemit!

I am announcing the completion of the first stage of the HIGHWAY-1 photo contest, which was attended by six authors from different parts of the world who told about their interesting trips. After the results are summed up, the winners are announced and awarded, and the next stage of the competition is announced, it will no longer be new, but will begin to fully live on a par with everyone else. Its beginning proved to be encouraging, because there are already a lot of participants and I find all the presented photo reports very interesting.

For a post announcing the start of the contest, an author's contribution of $ 3,837 was received, so it will not be possible to make prizes higher than the one announced at the beginning, no matter how much I would like it. I'm not ready to hold contests to my detriment yet, but let's hope that over time the amount of royalties will grow and the prize pool will increase.

I liked all the contest entries and therefore it is very difficult to determine the winners, but I will have to do it, no matter how much I would like to give everyone the main prize.

The first place

is taken by a photo report from a participant @kikenexum, who managed to take road photos using four types of passenger transport.

The winner is rewarded with 2 STEEM

The second place

is taken by a photo report from a participant @may2015, who created a full-fledged story with good photos about her very long trip almost across her entire country.

The winner is rewarded with 1 STEEM

The third place

is taken by a photo report from the participant @jollymonoara, thanks to which we saw an interesting report about the roads of a country that we may never be able to visit.

The winner is rewarded with 0.5 STEEM

All three winners will receive additional awards for any of their posts with an open payout window from the respected sponsor of the contest: @xpilar
