I have made plans to try and see at least one NHL game per season with my son. We are going to pick a city each year and travel there for a few days to see the sites, eat the eats and pick up tickets to an NHL game. Since we are on a family vacation to Florida, we decided to take a trip over to Tampa Bay and catch a Lightning game.
I love Lukes face in the image when I tried to lift him up like the Stanley Cup.
This is my first hockey game in a warm weather state, so I wasn't sure what to expect. They had a huge courtyard with a ton of activities going on. We really had a great time!
The game was also great. The final score was 5 - 2 for the home team. Every time the Lightning score they create actual lighting bolts inside of the arena. The crowd was very knowledgeable about hockey and knew all the players by name.
This was our last game of the year. Not sure where we are planning to visit next year yet. This one will be tough to beat.
