For the family to enjoy. They may also wish to have animals. And livestock to tend. For their own food and clothing. Or other necessities.

This post is very interesting, it reminded one of us about how this healthy gut recipe starts looking out like Russian salted cabbage a little bit then ends up like a thick kefir (yogurt) that helps keeps your gut nice and healthy homemade.
