I have been blown away by the amount of genuine support I have been receiving since I started participating in the @killerwhale Karaoke Contest, and now the @steemitgottalent contest. This morning, for the second time since I started posting videos of me singing on Steemit, someone suggested to me that I start posting videos of myself singing every day here on Steemit. I asked a few other people if they thought it would be a good idea, and they were all pretty enthusiastic about it, so I figured I should seriously consider the suggestion.
I normally would never do anything like this, but now that more than one person has told me this, I guess I've seriously considered the idea, and it resulted in this, #KaoticCarolling. I am using the word carolling in the more general sense of the word, to mean singing, not the specifically Christmas-related use of the word.
Like I said, I plan to make this a daily occurrence, so I hope you all don't get tired of hearing me sing. :P I know I'm not the best singer out there, but maybe doing something like this will help me to cultivate my voice and make it even better. Who knows, eh? Anyway, to launch this series off, I decided to sing "Bring Him Home" from Les Misérables, at the suggestion/request of @ablckbrd. It's not a perfect rendition, but I figure it's good to get such an imperfect performance out there so that I don't set the bar too high and people don't expect me to sound amazing every time.
This is one of my favorite songs from one of my favorite Broadway musicals, so I had fun singing it. I hope you all have fun watching it, too! Without further ado, here it is (that thumbnail though, eh? haha):
