Wow! Today I found out that I won the karaoke contest from last week. I'm so grateful to everyone who voted for me! Thank you so much for your support, it seriously made my day. I've been having a rough weekend because my "mom" passed away, so I've been kinda out of it lately, but waking up today to the news of my win helped to uplift me a little, even if it was just for a brief moment.
For my entry this week, I've decided to sing You Raise Me Up by Josh Groban. I'm dedicating this performance to my recently deceased second mom, because she always raised me up when I was a kid. As I got older, I grew kinda distant from her and her family, and my biggest regret now is that she never knew how much I truly appreciated being raised by her for a part of my childhood and how much she truly raised me up and taught me so much.
This was a really emotional song for me to sing, so please forgive me if my voice wasn't at its best for the entire duration of the song. I hope you still enjoy it regardless.
