Ladies of Steemit, Volume 3 | The Female Perspective
This week, we're seeing the world through a woman's eye in four very distinct photographic personalities. Steemit has a flourishing photography community that sees creativity without bounds, and these four women each make exemplary contributions to the Steemit art experience.
Each Wednesday, we're curating posts by the Ladies of Steemit, established/whales and new/minnows (and everyone in-between), bringing you the most talented female/femme/feminine voices on the platform. Subject matter is entirely based on the writers featured and no subject is off-limits!
We are very proud to present...
@soyrosa

[Travel Update] Lisbon has a LOT of street art - THE WOMEN
photo by @soyrosa
Even as a woman, it confuses me at times. I've learned to perceive women in the same sexist ways as the rest of our society does. Like, did you know in one experiment researchers found that images of women's bodies are classified in the brain as 'things/objects', where men's bodies are classified in the brain as 'people'? Or that women are often seen as separate body parts, and men as a whole?

@artizm
a bold film photographer with a knack for photo manipulation. Her stoic black and white images contrasted with this hilarious dog face mashup create a unique and enjoyable gallery.

Architectural Photography: Karaweik Palace
photo by @wincee
Another attraction I visited while I was in Yangon was the Kandawgyi Lake. Situated in the eastern side of the lake is the Karaweik Hall also known as Karaweik Palace. It is a unique bird-shaped floating restaurant. If truth be told, I really didn't know anything about Karaweik Hall before coming to Yangon. Initially, I thought it was another temple or pagoda but I found out that it was a restaurant/convention hall instead.
