We create a chess school - Pictures and story of the concrete dream...

Hello Steemians.

We are a group of friends who share a passion for chess. We recently decided to set up a nuclear partnership for the city's clubs and to develop chess activity in as many neighborhoods as possible. The Villamariense Association of Chess that we founded would serve to give legal framework to the desire of divulge this sport that we are so passionate about.
So we visited a club in the city. This is the Club Sarmiento, and we ask for:

A space to receive youth and adults once a week.
Money to start the activity and pay the teachers.
Tables and chairs and, if that were not enough ...
Boards and watches ...........

And they told us a big yes !!!!

We started to prepare the place. We were given an excellent space on a first floor in the center of the city. The floor was in full repair, so the cleaning task was arduous and prolonged.

Once the room was in conditions, we went up the chairs and the tables that the club bought to develop the activity and to make the proper space. We use plastic camping tables to ensure that we have a very durable material and the possibility of folding in case the room is needed for another use.

For publicity we decided to put together a brochure that we distributed in schools, clubs and businesses, which specified day, time and place. For the brochure printing, we got 3 sponsors who took care of printing costs.

On Saturday, June 3 we officially started with the school and the boys were very enthusiastic with their families. We went around the tables to start learning.

To our surprise there was a group of girls who knew how to play, and they did very well. In the photo you can see how the roles were spontaneously exchanged and the teacher looks attentive trying to learn some of the talent that girls have on the board.

In another of the tables there were guys who did not know how to play so we set up groups of 2 members to explain the rules of the game and the movement of the pieces.
