#MinnowUprising: Please Don't Swallow Me Up

One of the things that I like about #Steemit is the fact that Steemians are constantly challenging each other. I'm not one to jump on bandwagons, but I've jumped on more bandwagons in the last month than I ever have in my life. Just because.

When I joined Steemit, I had the bright idea to post a daily #crypto curation post that would highlight the top crypto news and the best crypto reads of the day, along with my characteristic snark. Along the way, my employer Blockchain Times reduced the number of daily digests we were doing to just two per week. It didn't disappoint me, but my Steemit crypto digest was based off of that daily news item. So now I just do the crypto digest twice a week.

It didn't take long to fill up the other days with content. There is always something to post about. Meanwhile, I've seen my post earnings rise from nearly $0 to edging closer to 40 to 50 cents on the average.

In addition to crypto digests, I've been posting #poetry and #fiction right from the beginning. My first bandwagon, however, just rode up under me and swept me off my feet. Because of some folks I met in the Military Veterans of Steemit Discord channel, I posted my first Steem Monsters trading card character contest entry. Since then, I've written several more and volunteered to join a team of writers to craft the backstory for an entire element of the game.

Two days ago, I wrote my first Ulog entry, making it my second Steemit bandwagon. And now, I'm hopping on my third bandwagon.

My First MinnowUprising Post

While looking through my feed this morning, I discovered that one of the people I'm following posted about a Minnow Uprising. Awesome! The original Minnow Uprising post is right over here. What a great way to encourage more content.

In the process of preparing this post, I learned about something called MinnowSmith. Well, this is cool. So I thought I'd try it out.

I went to the website and entered my Steemit name, and now I'm mining SBD vicariously through XMR. That's right folks, our friendly engineer is mining #Monero and paying others in SBD to mine it for him, evidently. What a brilliant idea.

I have no idea how I'm ever going to post three times a day, but I'll give it a shot. Don't be surprised if there are days I only post once or twice, but if I can hit three posts on any day, at least someone encouraged me to be more productive. Now, let's get this uprising on the way.
