MSP Waves Radio : Pennsif on Air with Globocop : 1972 : Strikes, Strikes and Portugal

This Saturday is the last Frequency Waves 432Hz show before @globocop heads south to don his Panama Hat.

Next week I will be filling the slot with the pilot of my new 'My Life in 8 Songs' show - do tune in for that.

On Frequency Waves we are homing in on 1972, a dark year for many reasons.

The Troubles in Northern Ireland blew up, terrorists vied for first place at the Munich Olympics, strikes bought Britain to a state of emergency.

In the USA Watergate became a word, in Africa Idi Amin expelled the British Asians, and in the cold north seas the second Cod War broke out between Britain and Iceland.

On the music scene Pink Floyd saw the Dark Side of the Moon, while The New Seekers wanted to teach the world to sing - long before Coca Cola got in on the act.

Tune into the Frequency Waves show right after @crimsonclad to find out what else happened in 1972.

1972 saw my family take one more step up the holidays abroad ladder. This year we headed to the Algarve in Portugal where we stayed in a villa. As the Welsh would say, "there's posh isn't it". We are jet-setters now...

That holiday was captured again by my father on his Standard 8 cine camera.

This movie is released in its original format without any soundtrack.

I will be narrating the movie live on the show (in two parts).

If you don't catch the movie on the radio show it is also be available on DTube :

The Frequency Waves 432Hz show will be on MSP Waves Radio on Saturday from 9pm to 12midnight UTC.

You can listen to the show via the PAL Discord server, via mspwaves.com or on Twitch at twitch.tv/mspwaves.
