Even for a civilization of stoics, the monsoons surface every Indian's pent up rage against potholes.
Against an incompetent civic administration.
Against institutional corruption.
Against politicans who believe that they are not accountable to the electorate that put them in office, in the first place.

So, RJ Malishka took up the cudgels on behalf of fellow Mumbaikars. She highlighted the plight of Mumbaikars in colloquial Marathi, the mother tongue of the ruling Shiva Sena party, in Mumbai Tula BMC var bharosa, Mumbai, do you trust the BMC?
Mumbai Tula BMC var bharosa
var nahi kay
Nahi nahi!
(Mumbai don’t you trust BMC)
Mumbaychya rastaya madhe
jhol jhol
(Mumbai roads are full of problems)
Rastyanchye khadde kase
khol khol
(Potholes on roads are deep, deep)
Khadyancya aakar kasa
gol gol
(Potholes are round, round)
Malishka RJ Malishka, Red FM 93.5 Mendonsa, trained Vidya Balan for the RJ's role in Lage Raho Munnabhai, the 2006 Bollywood blockbuster.
Her name Maliskha means no meaning.
The BMC is Mumbai's municipality.
Mumbai's chattering class painted the town red on the BMC potholes.
AMUL featured Malishka on their billboards.
The Shiva Sena, who run Mumbai rapped back.
And the RED team were ready.
So were the media in Mumbai.
Graft, sleaze & incompetence rule Mumbai's roads.
