Sometimes, others come to me for help with certain things, and sometimes, I have to go to others.

A lot of the neighborhood children come to me with various issues and situations, and they all seem to like me and look up to me. When so many little ones randomly share situations with you, it can get quite interesting.

Sometimes, they may bring me a Rhinoceros Beetle!

Other times it may be an emerging Cicada.

Today, though, I’m not sure what it is!

This is a photo of the front of it. It is made of metal, and is not quite round. Is it some sort of coin? Does it serve a purpose? I do not know.

Here is a photo of the back of it. The front appears to possibly have some sort of writing on it, but there are no numerals anywhere to be found.

A seven year old boy from nearby brought it to a few of us men this evening. He said that he found it on the railroad, though I’m not completely sure what that means. He was wondering if any of us could tell what it was. Thus far, we cannot be sure. I have dealt with coins from many countries over the years, but I have never encountered anything this shape.

Since I now have friends from all over the world because of steemit, I thought that perhaps some of you may know what it is. I’m not even sure how to do an image search, so I’m at a dead end. Does anyone know what this may be? Is it some sort of currency? Have you ever seen something like this?

For size comparison, here are some photos of it next to a United States dime. You can certainly see that they two objects have different shapes. If you have some idea, please let me know.

I told the young man that I personally did not know what it was, but that I would be happy to ask some friends of mine. So steemians, what do you think?
