Real News Crazier Than Comic Books - A.I. with "Gaydar" and Robots "Healing" Themselves, Seriously

In the world of robots and A.I., two stories have made their way around that are very interesting to say the least.   First is Stanford University has released a study that included the use of artificial intelligence reading pictures of people and with that determine their sexual orientation.   The results were as follows:

The AI was accurate in 81 percent of cases for men and 74 percent for women. However, accuracy jumped to 91 percent and 83 percent, respectively, if given five photographs of a person. In contrast, a human trying to determine a person's sexual orientation was right 61 percent of the time for men and 54 percent of the time for women.

A conclusion that can be reached is more solidifying with evidence regarding genetics and sexuality.   The fear news version of this story is that someone would use the ability to have this information about a person without having to ask them but just by taking their picture and do something... fearful.   I would recommend no one do that, you do not want to piss off any gay people and cause them to make more hurricanes.

In the robot side of the news, Vrije Universiteit Brussel researches were inspired by the soft tissues of humans and our healing properties to create, you know what, let's just roll a clip so you can see this thing in action:

See below for an animated gif from a documentary made on where this technology is going next:
