The 8th year of Prague Pride attracted 90,000 visitors!

Hi everyone!

Today, on Sunday, August 12, the eighth year of Prague Pride, one of the largest LGBT prides in Europe, came to an end after seven days full of social, cultural and sport events, dance parties, seminars, public debates and processions that took place at many different places all over the city.

Supported by some Czech political parties such as the Green Party and the Pirates, this year´s festival had several renowned international guests such as the Dutch transgender model Loiza Lamers or the British LGBT activist Philip Baldwin.

The organizers just stated that the 8th year of Prague Pride was visited by some 90,000 people, which is the highest attendance in this pride´s history. Just the final parade itself was joined by approximately 40,000 people, which is a truly impressive number for a parade of any kind.
