This Week in the Sndbox

Welcome to the 18th State of the Sndbox newsletter! We’re back from Thanksgiving week and finishing off the month of November with a few new initiatives and future ambitions. So far this week, we’ve shared our very first Steemit project interview, outlined goals for large-scale Steemit community growth, and launched our next State of the Sndbox thumbnail art competition!

For a more thorough breakdown of what our members have been up to, be sure to go through our weekly Sndbox Selections of the Week post that we publish each Monday.

Riding the Dream with @surfermarly

During Steemfest: Lisbon, we got to learn about an amazing initiative by @surfermarly first-hand. She has brilliantly combined her own iconic passion with the needs of the local community and opened the @dreamsoftheocean account to support children with recreational surfing lessons. This is one of the first examples of a sustained philanthropic organization on Steemit and we hope to rally some support behind it!

You can read the full interview with here here and be sure to check out the new accounts @dreamsoftheocean to show your support for Steem-powered impact!

Have you Heard about @dochato-io?

Our very own @tarekadam has been busy behind the scene's building out a new Steem-based charity project called Dochato.io - the first charity site using SMT's that rewards donators with DCT (Donation Charity Token) Token for their donations.

Show him your support and consider contributing to this fantastic project! Learn more, here.

Sndcastle Growth and Impact

Over the last few months, we’ve been cultivating diverse projects and initiatives in real communities around the world. A number of our Sndbox members are dedicated community builders and committed to bringing Steemit to those who could most use it as liberating resource. They lead Sndcastles, accelerator hubs that provide events, activities, and physical spaces for members to come together and built an offline Steemit community.

Read our full update here. We’ll be updating this list often with their respective events and spotlights.

170831_logos-sndcastle.pngSndcastle's are a collaborative initiative within Sndbox. We work with Steemit community leaders around the world to foster social and creative impact through Steem. Our aim is to grow and promote Steemit through community hubs, encourage meetups, person-to-person onboarding, and physical projects.

Reaching an International Audience

We’ve made our latest updates to our international resource guide of all things Steemit and STEEM. We’ve smashed the dozen languages mark and welcome more community members from all over the world to contribute! See the full list of multilingual resources here
