It's been a minute since I've entered Open Mic, and it's been my intention almost every single week, but one thing or another has come up and the week slips away--but not this week.
Here's my entry, entitled "16 Bucks," and it is a song about giving seemingly everything to a person who gave nothing in return but heartache, but it stands as a thank you note of sorts for letting me down, because I wouldn't have found the real love of my life had I followed his ass to wherever and married him like I planned on doing for way too long. I hope you enjoy it.
