I thought my judging was tough already, and last week we had a ridiculous 114 entries, which was an All Time High (ATH) but I was hoping for a gradual climb up with an increase of entries week by week, but Nope lol
We are breaking records like Cryptocurrency Prices as the market explodes upward
We are already breaching closer to 200 entries soon it seems.
These extra 39 entries piled on top just brought my judging scrutiny to an all time high
I may word my reviews nicely but my expectations are like Simon Cowell high lol
Could you imagine being indecisive at this point of the Open Mic Judging process? I will not falter to this stage of ridiculousness and waste time. This is not a game and I take this position with a high level of seriousness and respect
Winners need to be decided, picked and rewarded/appraised/acknowledged and respected for the hard work and beautiful music they share with us, especially after a million redos and retakes (Something I definitely know about as a "Keep trying til I get it right, I don't care if I'm tired or frustrated, the end result is worth it") kind of performer and musician.

I'm going to have fun with this week, plus all of the inspiration and hidden gems that lay waiting to be heard and discovered. That is what makes the tediousness of the judging worth it at the end. I will listen to tons of entries that don't move me, but then a performer will grip my attention and hold it without strain on the ears.
Well, I will have to start judging earlier than usual. Off I go. Oh and please watch this 1st place winning song "If I Was A Judge" by @steembirds from Week 62 if you haven't heard it already
When I had pitched the idea for the song to them a month and a half or so prior, I knew already they would come up with something amazing, and they crafted the lyrics beautiful and earned 1st place effortlessly with their energy, performance, harmonies and charisma. Hands down they are some great songwriters and very entertaining to say the least
They are quite hilarious and have some funny lyrics to sum this post up, enjoy the humorous and relatable sentiments
