Title says it all.
Will add more story when we get home.
We went to barbers today evening. Met a friend on the way and almost got caught up chatting with her. It wouldn't have been too good as we were running kind of late as almost all the barbershops were closing when we got there.
Gladly at the Trio shopping centre we found one who had one free space at 18:30. We just had to bide our time for an hour or so.
Tried to find a school backpack for Miro at a CityMarket grocery, but didn't see any good ones, but got to spend our time at the electronics and entertainment shelves at the store looking over some games for the PS3. (It would seem the shops are trying to get rid of any PS3 titles, as the PS5 is just around the corner. I'm so hoping we don't have to get a new console every year.)
After cruising the stores, we headed back to Trio, where the barbers was to find out we still had half an hour to spare... Toy store next. As we browsed through there we almost lost track of time and only at the last minute woke up to the hurry. It was a good thing the previous client was a Japanese man with her mother, and they sure took their time leaving after their hair was done. At least our being little late didn't matter then.
As Leo was getting his hair cut, I decided it was a good time to bring the car a bit closer and grab a cup of coffee as well. I went to the other shopping center Syke where I had parked the car, and drove it to the Trio Park. There I picked up Leo just as they were finishing off with a dash of hair wax.
The haircut cost 26 euros. That's the children's price. I wonder what they would bill me for doing my hair.
We got a 1 hour free parking card for having visited the barbers' though. Could've been worse. ;)
So when we left, we had still some shopping to do. We went back to the CityMarket to buy Miro a pair of pants, and also a couple of cartons of milk, because I bought only three yesterday. ;)
Then we drove to the Kivimaa ABC petrol station, which also has a Finnish Hesburger hamburger chain restaurant, and bought two Halloumi burgers, treat of the month for 4 euros each. Oh, and two glasses of water, because I was being niggardly and didn't want to spend too much money. Turned out the water also cost .95 euros per glass. Talk about exploitation there.
I'm glad we went there, because Leo had become quite bored of the shopping, and I guess he was hungry too. The Halloumi burger (which btw. didn't have any meat in it) seemed to hit the spot, and he got all chatty almost after two bites it seems.
Long story short, we came home soon after, checked Squiggles and then I ordered both boys to do their evening chores and get to bed. Then I read them more of the Lord of the Rings saga. We are now at the part where Frodo and Sam were taken by Faramir, to the Gondorian fighters' hideout under the waterfalls.
