My Entry to the Pay it Forward Curation Contest-Week 3.

I am naturally a very curious & competitive person, so when @energyaddict resteemed this post a few hours ago, not only did I feel compelled to participate, I also fell in love with the concept. I have a soft spot for people like @thedarkhorse and @yoo1900 who are continually looking out for newbies and minnows and offering their support whenever they can. It challenges me to work extra hard so I can be in a position to emulate their actions of giving back to this platonic community in the near future.

In a nutshell, the pay it forward contest seeks to create a platform for planktons & minnows who create quality content to gain exposure. People's whose content deserves more recognition than it's currently getting.

For this particular contest (which is in it's third week now), the rules are as follows;

You will be writing 1 post in which you talk about the 3 bloggers and one of their most recent posts. Below is what is required to be in the post.

  • A review of the bloggers and 1 of their most recent posts, link to the post
  • Explain why this blogger was chosen and a summary of their post
  • Make sure to upvote and comment on the post you link to for each of these bloggers
Your post should also link to the original postshowing you are part of this weeks contest. Kindly note the rules are bound to be adjusted every other week.

To be honest this was very difficult for me to decide on. Partly because I know so many bloggers on here whom I have been interacting with constantly and whom I feel also deserve the much needed recognition. Also difficult is that most of those bloggers are above the 50 reputation score. However, in team spirit and ensuring continuity of this initiative by @darkhorse, I resolved to feature these 3 amazing people whom I can confidently say I see a bright future for and whom I am looking forward to knowing more by the day.

1.Laurentbecca/ Madefortheseaside

Brief Introduction.

If you have heard the phrase friends become family before, then that is how I would describe our constantly evolving friendship. I met Laurent in a Steemit Curation Whatsapp group a few weeks ago when I promoted another online opportunitythat I work at in my free time. His interest in the platform is what sparked our friendship and as I write this, I am honored to be on the same team with him. This is how we became Steemit buddies.

While most of us desire to have the ultimate digital lifestyle, Laurent & his girlfriend are living the dream. They are both digital nomads from Netherlands and they also have a joint account madefortheseasidehence the reason I quoted two accounts.

What you can expect from these two accounts is lots of travel blogs and more in the near future from them both.

Laurent's BudaPest Trip
Laurent's recent post was about his trip to Budapest.
While most us can only dream of globe-trotting one day, avid travelers will find this post very helpful should you consider going to Budapest.

In addition to the scenic images he shared, I loved how he gave recommendations of places to visit based on his own experience and what he enjoyed the most.

His recommendations run from accommodation, to places to eat , to places to visit.

2.@Sherbanu

While I don't quite remember how we met, one thing I particularly love about her is her zeal and determination to succeed in this platform.

English being her second language, you will mostly find her participating in writing challenges to improve her skills. She is a constant reminder of "Whatever the mind can conceive & believe it can achieve." I have no doubt she will be one of those people that eventually emerges victorious on this platform.

Sherbanu's Happiness Post
They say the purest of love is that of a mother to her son.
In her recent post, Sherbanu shares how her children are her greatest source of happiness. While I am yet to be a mother, her post left me yearning to experience motherhood and to look forward to it.

Her recent post was based on a writing challenge.
She reflects on one of her recent posts that has earned her the most since joining Steemit. It was a post of a drawing by one of her kids which left many people's heart, mine included, melted.
The take away for me on this particular post was this quote;

Almost every successful and happy person begins with two beliefs : the future can be better than the present , and I have the power to make it so.

3.@Pamcooks

Where I come from, they say the way to a man's heart is through his stomach. As such, most girls are brought up properly instilled with adequate cooking skills. I bet that is where my love for food roots from. I am a food lover and never shy to try out new delicacies. I love going to the grocery store, to the butcher shop, planting vegetables, and anything that revolves around food is attractive to me. This is what @pamcooks offers on her blog.

From the moment I saw her first blog, I fell in love her content. It's only been a few weeks now since I discovered her blog and looking forward to a new recipe and food tips from timento time.

Her Recent Post.

She shares on how to make a rebellious rosti Pam style way.

Pamcooks Rebellious Rosti

A rosti is originally a Swiss dish.It primarily consist of potatoes shredded in a fritter style and is traditionally eaten for breakfast.Everyone has their own way and it is eaten all over the world

While this is not something that's common in my country, I am sure I would enjoy whipping it up one of these weekends. When I do, I'll be sure to share it.

That's it from me ladies & gents. I hope you enjoyed getting to know my bloggers of choice as much as I enjoyed writing this down. Thank you @thedarkhorse for presenting this amazing opportunity to us to express ourselves, in a way it feels great to know my voice matters & I can use it to help others , and @energyaddict for creating awareness of it's existence, without him I probably would have discovered it a tad too late.

Here's to a bright future for us all.

I'd now like to nominate these three bloggers to participate in this contest to keep the train moving.

Sincerely,

-Elsie.
