Sitting and relaxing on the bank of the river is always enjoyable. Especially in autumn when you have a view like this.
This is one of my favorite places to sit and relax. The city has made concrete seats all along both banks, allowing us to sit easily. And people take advantage of it. Tourists are always sitting along here as are random people who live in the area. At lunch time just about everyone who works within a 10 minute walk of here floods into the area and eats along these steps.
The river here is the Oto River (乙川) which was a pretty important river back in the day when a certain quota of rice had to be sent to Edo.
