Photo Series #62: 1910's Omega pocket watch | Do you have cool antique items? Share it on the comments!

Hello dear readers! I'm not only a travel nuts, I also like antiques. Do you like to collect old items?

One of the biggest problems I'll face when I move to a sailboat or camper van will be detachment from some things, as you know, space is limited forcing us to leave some things behind.

However, some things are impossible to simply forget or sell, for example this old Omega pocket watch from circa 1910.

I'm not just a travel nut, I also like antiques and the history behind such items, back when things were made to be excelent and to last. Every time someone gives me something old I immediately try to seek all the details, turning the internet upside down to discover something, a date, a bit of history. Sometimes it becomes so obsessive that I forget about time and the other, more important, stuff I have to do. It's so exciting!

What I know about this watch is that it's an silver made Omega from circa 1910. It was bought by my Great Grandfather, then passed to my Grandfather, then my dad and now this monster who is writing this.

It's beautiful to wind it up and see the mechanism work, the noise it makes tic tac tic tac tic tac marking precise the seconds. This is definately one of the items I'll carry for the rest of my life.
