Last 2 weeks have been super hectic for me, firstly I was travelling and then I had a guest at home. Though hectic but it was still all a very good time and I was in high spirits. I visited one of the most beautiful hill stations in India Dharamshala" where His Holiness Dalai Lama lives and there are many Monasteries, which were all so delightful to visit, and after that we also visited the India's iconic Taj Mahal, which I was looking forward to since a very long time.
Once back in Muscat I had a guest home for a week, so then I got busy with her taking her around Muscat city and giving her the flavors of Oman. She had come from Poland and she found the place very fascinating, she could not believe that Oman was such a beautiful and peaceful place, which I always keep saying. We took her to the mountains and to the Beaches, also giving her a delightful taste of the City life. The weather is just perfect at this time in the City, so weekend excursions are all the more fun. She was there for 5 days so I could not take her to many places but then I picked up those which she would really enjoy and appreciate and took her over there.
We visited the most famous Sink Hole, where people normally enjoying taking a dip or diving from the top. And there are many small fishes out there so even if you do not want to do either of this you can just soak your feet, take a Pedicure in the most natural way and relax.
After spending some time at the Sink Hole, we then proceeded to the Dayqab Dam. We were using Waze to take us there, which normally gives the shortest route. Thankfully this time Waze gave us the shortest route through the Mountains which was so much unexpected. For a moment we thought we were lost as we were the only ones in the mountains, but after some time thankfully there was another car passing by and they confirmed it was the right road but just a bit adventurous one. Nevertheless it was a big surprise for us because we got some amazing views on this road.
Dayqam Dam has a very picturesque view, and there is a Park area which serves as a very good picnic spot. We went in a big group, so we had prepared some food from home. A day Picnic is always fun when you carry all the home made stuff rather then just eating out in a restaurant as normal.
And then on the next day we went for a Dolphin cruise, an other exciting outing. She also got a chance to do Snorkelling. Oman waters are very pristine, one would enjoy swimming out here, you would be able to see fishes very clearly.
For a very long time we did not manage to see any fishes and then our boat guy went further in the sea and then there were a whole lot of Dolphins playing around. Such a pleasure it was to see them. But they are so fast that it becomes difficult to take their pictures.
It was a wonderful time spent over the weekend. I hope you all enjoyed taking a glimpse of my Country Oman
