Introduction
I was in the Gateshead area today as I had a follow up eye appointment. My left eye is still swollen following the infection but it is improving. Luckily I didn't need to have any dilating drops in my eyes so I was able to use my camera.
I was passing by the Sage in Gateshead and decided to have a look to see what was on the graffiti wall.
RIP Graffiti Wall - Vive the Railway Arches!
Sadly it looks like the graffiti wall has been knocked down and some building work is going on where it used to be. All is not lost though.
There are a set of railway bridge arches behind the Sage building which seem to be being slowly transformed with boarding to act as a replacement. These actually provide a space for much larger works although they are only partially completed at the moment. There were 3 large pieces and a few smaller ones which I will present below.
Extra shots and a sneak peak
Finally I also used the time to get some more shots of the Sage itself as well as the Baltic Centre and was able to take some shots of the famous Angel of the North scultpture which is nearby.
It will take me some time to process these but I have included a quick sneak peak edit at the end.
